National Lottery Heritage Fund North celebrated some of the highlights of past years on their X (Twitter) account and highlighted a Faraway Project they had funded.
This tweet and subsequent tweets, on Heritage Treasures Day, included many fantastic community projects, activities and events; one of which was our Neurodiversity Through the Ages Project.
This project, headed by Research Assistant Rosemarie Cawkwell, documented and presented the often-overlooked history of autism and neurodiversity. Rosemarie worked for months on this project and by the end of it put together an interactive timeline display and a free-to-own history book. This display took a tour around North East Lincolnshire were it stopped at libraries, community centres, public events and more!

Rosemarie has since made a website where she documents updates from her historical research and more. Visit her website here.
We would like to send a massive thank you to National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding this project and showcasing it again to their followers.
